Seven Little Huts — Our Monthly Distribution Programme

Every month, the doors of our centre open to welcome families from the HDB rental blocks in the Jalan Besar area. What began almost ten years ago as a simple door-to-door ration delivery has grown into one of our most beloved and meaningful programmes — and the journey to get here taught us something important about dignity.

From Delivery to Empowerment

In our early days, we distributed essential items directly to residents at their doorsteps. It was well-intentioned, but we noticed something: the items we brought didn't always match what families actually needed. A household with young children might receive items suited for the elderly. A family with dietary restrictions would receive food they couldn't use. We were giving — but we weren't truly listening.

So we changed our approach entirely.
